Kep Development Master Plan
Kep is set to transform into a “high-end luxury tourism destination” as announced by Cambodia Government.
The Kep Development Master Plan has been drafted and is now approved and signed by the relevant ministries and the National Committee for Tourism Development.
Over 90 activities which englobes more than 250 projects are at the core of the government strategy to boost the tourism and investments in the Kep Province.
The area that are to be developed are the KEP city itself, Angkol beach area, Phnom Vor and the off shore islands.
New tourism products are to be created with a road map that will combine urbanization and construction, transportation, agriculture, water management, electricity, waste management and environment.
Some of the projects are already being rolled out or even fully completed such as new Koh Tonsay pier, extension of the beaches (see picture) , a multi-purpose port, roads improvements, tri-phase electricity.
There is absolutely no doubt that this Master Plan will encourage investors to choose Kep for their future projects and we can expect new resorts and services in the coming years.
