Kep is now receiving an extra 2.7 km of beach.  The end of 2021 and start of 2022 has seen extensive work being done in the coastal city. 

It has been somehow very busy with trucks and heavy machinery during these months, leaving the main road in a poor state, but it seems that the work will soon be completed (April 2022) and leave place for a brand new public beach.  

Owners facing the sea in this area will be offered to purchase few tens of meters , then will be a natural fence (vegetation), a path for people to walk along the beach and finally the beach itself. This new added strip represents an extra width of between 130 to 140 meters. 

These works are part of the Kep Master Development plan and will attract more people during week ends and national holidays.
